Florida’s Fire Prevention Code — and Broward County’s local fire safety ordinance — require most commercial buildings, restaurants, fitness facilities, residential buildings, and public gathering spaces to have AEDs on-site. Non-compliance can result in failed inspections and re-inspection fees.
Under Florida Fire Prevention Code Section F-121 and Broward County local amendments, the following establishments are generally required to have AEDs on-site.
